The Actor:
Dominic was born Dominic Bernard Patrick Luke Monaghan on December 8, 1976. He was born in Berlin and lived there for 12 years before moving to England with his family. Since then he’s been in several british movies as well as the Lord of the Rings trilogy as the hobbit Meriadoc Brandybuck, (He moved to California after LOTR) ABC’s hit TV show LOST as Charlie Pace, and now in ABC’s Flash Forward as the mysterious Simon, (His last name hasn’t been released). Dominic loves animals, especially bugs, and has 1 python, Mohave, 2 scorpions, Indiana and Jones, a cricket, Toby, and a praying mantis, Ninja. Dominic’s recent projects have been PET, X-men Origins: Wolverine, and I Sell the Dead.
The Character:
Charlie Heironymus Pace was born in 1979, and while traveling to Los Angeles, his plane crashes, starting his adventures on the Island with all of the other losties. Charlie was the bass player for the british band DriveShaft, which was started by Charlie’s brother Liam and himself, and it was also the reason for Charlie’s addiction to heroin. he struggles with his addiction on the Island before finally letting go in Season 1′s episode “The Moth”. After that he forms a relationship with Claire Littleton, a pregnant girl on the island, and becomes a sort of father figure to her child, Aaron, after he is born. Charlie’s death is foreseen many times by Desmond Hume, who tries to prevent it each time. Eventually Charlie decides to come to terms with his destiny, and, for what he believes to be the way for his friends to escape the island, drowns in The Looking Glass, an underwater Dharma station. Charlie appears to Hurley Reyes several times after his death, telling Hurley repeatedly to return to the Island.
